All Time Oscar Ballot project last week one of the rules I set myself was that there would be no cheating. No ties or shared nominations or expanded categories. I would force myself to choose.
But now that my
Lead Actor ballot is published I don't think it's cheating to highlight some of the performances that it pained me most to leave off the final five...

excellent choices all around. Dustin Hoffman "Tootsie" and Jack Nicholson "Chinatown" make my top 5 ballot of all-time, along with Marlon Brando "On the Waterfront," Mickey Rourke "The Wrestler," and Anthony Hopkins "The Remains of the Day". but most of your runner-ups are my runner-ups as well
